How We Asked Our Wedding Party To Be Our Wedding Party

Here are some ideas for bridesmaid and best man gifts. We were going for a rustic French theme with these...

The Bridesmaids

Loved these! I wanted to hand-make something for the bridesmaids. These little boxes were filled with straw and contained a little plant, a French lavender soap, 3 tiny macaroons (they were actually tiny rubbers!) and a tiny little jar.

I wrote on a tiny piece of paper and rolled it up to look like a little scroll to put inside of the jar, and covered just about everything in string and some delicate little leaves. These were really fun to make and I think quite nice to open too! Hessian seems to make everything look rustic so roll with it. It tied in nicely with our invitations too (see my other wedding craft post for invitations).

Obviously could not wait to post these (even though I am sure they knew they were my bridesmaids anyway) so they were posted even before we had a date for the wedding!

The Flower Girl

We wanted our little 7 year old niece to be our flower girl, so we made little bracelets with her name and 'flower girl' on them. I hope that she feels like a princess on the day. She also got a box filled with straw, flowers and lavender like the bridesmaids.

The Best Man

This is actually my favourite and was so simple. Stuck on a cardboard hat and bow tie, wrote some words. No further explanation required.

Not started with the crafts for the actual day yet (menus, place cards etc), I will make another post when they are done!
